With the past lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, young people were forced to stay inside their homes and stop all sorts of social interaction. Having so many restrictions in the last two years has left all of us feeling lonely and anxious to go into the outside world again. Recent studies have demonstrated screen usage has doubled since the pandemic started, and as a consequence, less time has been spent in the outdoors. This is why Fitbit’s new campaign #GettingFitOutside aims to encourage young people around London to go outside and explore the green spaces this beautiful city has to offer.
