WHY RUNNING?
Honestly, I think the pandemic made me realize how important it is to take care of my physical and mental health. I decided to take up running as a way to keep myself active while also getting out and exploring the world around me.
FAVOURITE SPOTS
I love to go jogging around the parks in London, especially around Hyde Park and St. James’s Park. There’s something so calming and beautiful about spending time in nature and soaking in all the sights and sounds. I also love Greenwich. It’s a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and there’s so much to explore. From the beautiful views of the river Thames to the stunning landscape of the Royal Park, every run is different and special.
FAVOURITE NEW BALANCE MODEL
I’m a big fan of the Fresh Foam 1080v12 for running. It’s lightweight, breathable and offers amazing cushioning for long runs. It really helps me to feel comfortable and motivated when I’m out on my runs. I also love that the model is sustainable as it meets New Balance’s green leaf standard: upper is made of over 50% recycled content and contains bio-based materials.
TIPS FOR NEW RUNNERS
Start slow. I mean, really slow! So slow that you could be chatting with your friend while running. And get a nice pair of running shoes – its a must.
