Why do we host these events?
As part of Unplug to Reconnect, we organise these gatherings to provide students with an opportunity to disconnect from their screens and interact with others in the real world. Many young people in today’s digital age battle loneliness, anxiety, and phone addiction, which makes it more difficult for them to build lasting relationships.
These Mind UK-sponsored events offer a safe space for students to socialise, engage in enjoyable activities, and concentrate on their mental health. We assist students in finding balance in their lives, recharging, and reconnecting by promoting in-person connections.

We provide a screen-free environment at Unplug to Reconnect events so that students may relax, interact with one another, and prioritise their wellbeing. To promote real-world connections, activities include mindfulness exercises, creative workshops, outdoor excursions, and group icebreakers. In order to help students overcome loneliness and digital distractions, we regularly organise tech-free challenges and guest lectures. Every event aims to encourage a healthy lifestyle, improve mental health, and create meaningful interactions.
