What we do…

What is more sensual than the art of cooking? The Wild Cooking project could be described as the ultimate sensual experience. Every dish is a new experience, a new memory, a new flavour. And what’s better creating these new experiences in nature? Cooking has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and overall improve our mental health, so does being outdoors. Therefore, combining the two will overall lead to a better state of mind, sense of identity, relationship with the environment and food. “Cooking and baking is both physical and mental therapy” (Mary Berry). At the Wild Cooking Project, we recognise that a lot of people might’ve lost touch with nature through the pandemic, but we want to give young people the amazing opportunity to reconnect. And what better way to do it than through food? Encouraging young adults to explore their local outdoor surroundings to find ingredients or tools that they can cook with and learn how to create or recreate fantastic meals using outdoor cooking techniques and tools. If you feel like you would like to get involved with this amazing opportunity, start checking up on our blog reguluarly to see on what’s going on on with exiting cooking tips and ways you can get more creative outdoors as well as giving you the opportunity to post your own recipes on the website.
