I am a fitness enthusiast and certified personal trainer with a passion for promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. I have a strong connection to my Afro-Caribbean roots and believe that the outdoors is a great way to combine fitness with cultural appreciation. I have easy access to parks and trails, but I am also looking for a community that shares the same passion for fitness and cultural diversity.
What inspired you to combine fitness with cultural appreciation?
My Afro-Caribbean roots have always been a source of inspiration. I believe that fitness should not be divorced from cultural richness. The blend of the two creates a unique and fulfilling experience.
How did you overcome isolation in your fitness journey?
Initially, I often found myself alone outdoors, both as a fitness enthusiast and a person of color. This feeling of isolation fueled my determination to create a space where everyone, regardless of background, feels welcome and supported.
