Our Program & Events (What we do)

Well we’ve sold you pretty good at the start right? No? Oh. Well this is the page we are going to change your mind from “this is looking long to do” to calling up your mates saying you’ve found the thing you wanted to do!

So, What does the program entail? The Details

The Younger Times Program is broken up into various courses, those being 2 week 4 week and even summer long sessions, we also offer taster sessions if you aren’t too sure and its something that you want to give a go and try out! The first week or weeks of the program is a welcome week, where you get familiar with the staff and the people who you’ll be sharing the experience with, and don’t worry if you’re nervous or hate people (Like I do) you’ll be split up into groups of 4, and well assign you a tutor, after thats done, you’ll go on to do the fun stuff, since thats what most of you, this includes things like cooking challenges, where you need to work in teams and improve teamwork, sports challenges which challenge you physically, and even group sessions on leadership and learning how to effectively communicate! Sounds fun right?

The Events (Our Events) 🎉

And this is, well, this is our events page, where we’ll be chatting to you about, well, events obviously….what they are, and the events that we’ll be holding so that you are not only aware of what two expect, but also what you may find interesting and see yourself gravitating towards, those being throwback events like the egg and spoon and 100 m races, to the more interesting and persona based challenges such as cooking competitions and leadership Wednesday’s. So Take a look at what we have in store for you!

5-A-Side & 8-A-Side Football ⚽

Americans call it Soccer, we call it football, you play with a ball, with your feet so it’s pretty self explanatory (For them it isn’t) but this needs no explaining! you got out on the field and just bang ball! (more slang thats gonna make me lose my job! 5 & 8 A side is one of our most popular activities, so it may get intense, but thats what the sport’s all about right? Get practicing for this otherwise your mates Lilly and Jack could have a field day taking snaps of you missing that open goal….

Basketball 🏀

You know we wouldnt be a good program if we didnt include the countrty’s thrid or 4th watched sport, (Rugby’s ahead!) get your basketball shoes on, as the courts are also availiable! Play games of 1 on 1 or HORSE against your friends in your free time, or grab some mates that you made from the other tutor groups to start a tournement, its honestly up to you!

The Egg and Spoon Race! 🥚🥄

Protein’s a major Buzzword for Generation Z these days, Protein’s also a buzzword in Aldi supermarkets across the country too. The amount of times I see people buy things with the high protein. label is insane, an egg has protein, so this race should mean a lot to all of you! we’re bringing back one of the most popular races from sports day at primary! race against others and hold in your laughter as they fall, whether youre a gym freak who wants eggs after the race, or youre just there for vibes, The Egg and Spoon race is something to look forward to!

The Mighty Sack Race 💰

Unfortunately, we couldn’t get an emoji for this event so we were forced to use money… The Internet probably doesn’t like me for being such a good writer, (Im really not) But I digress. Another throwback is the sack race which well, is self explanatory, you wake up, brush your teeth, go into the fields, and get on a sack, and use your glutes and hamstrings to jump up and down until the finish line, sounds fun right? No? Ehhhhh we tried, but on a serious note, the sack race is another blast from the past so, give it a whirl!

Mentoring/Lesson times 🧠

Well well well, you thought this was going to be all fun and games didn’t you? Well it’s not! Part of our commitment is to ensure that you have the best summer, but that you also come away learning something from this experience, it’s like we always say! Learning is gold, or health is wealth, something of the sort! The mentoring program gives you an opportunity to learn key skills that you’ll need for any line of work, such as communications, how to write emails and pitching your ideas to the group, mastering or having a basic understanding of these skills not only helps you for your work life, but propels you to heights you didn’t think possible!

Leadership Wednesdays 🗣️

Being a leader is something we’ve all wanted to do (admit it you definitely have.) imagine being like Simba from Lion King, ordering the other animals, or in Football terms, being like Van Dijk or John Terry! sounds sick right! Thats what you’ll get from our Leadership classes every week! learning to be a leader is key for any field,, so having this skill can really get you into those higher positions

Sprints and Runs 🏃‍♂️

We left this one for last because I know some of you got that PTSD from doing the bleep test and Park Runs back in secondary, not me! I was always in the top 25 section, its probably the only accomplishment that ill be able to get in life! But don worry, we aren’t monsters like your PE teachers, you get to choose the type of race you want, but it needs to be one of either the 100, 200,400 or 800m races, pick your poison and use that pace to win races!
