This will be your last read for the next couple hours. It is a call to inaction. It is a call to do absolutely nothing. A call against productivity, consumption, and ads. Move away from the screen, rest outside of the digital world, and take the green pill. Touch grass.

You must be tired from all the clicking and scrolling.
Rest, weary traveller.
This is a safe space.
The old dilemma from Matrix was always between the “red or blue pill”. But both are sides of the same coin. NPC or woke, conscious or hypnotised, rebellious or disciplined – you’re still logged-in. As we’re becoming more dependent on what philosophers call “hyperreality”, we are also moving away from Nature. The internet represents reality in a way, but we often get drawn so much into it that we forget to see, hear, and feel reality for what it is unmediated, through our own senses. It is often so easy to misstep and end up living solely inside the web. When our world is full of representations only, is it real anymore?

It really takes just 20′ minutes to stay updated in every social medium, learn the newest trends, and see what everyone is up to. Coincidentally, it also takes 20′ to get a good kick of Mother Nature and feel the natural high of spending time outdoors – it’s simple science. You’ve done enough for the internet today.
Take the next 20′ off near some green space. Go out. Put on some music. Invite your friends and #GifttheGreen. The green pill. Really, don’t even click the previous links. Just turn off and tune out. And tune in to this playlist.
